Jim Carrey Breaks Silence After Cathriona White’s Autopsy Report Is Released

Cathriona White's Suicide Note Reveals Pain Over Breakup from Jim Carrey
Almost a year after her tragic passing, new details are emerging about Jim Carrey's late girlfriend Cathriona White's suicide

Jim Carrey is speaking out after autopsy results and other details of former girlfriend Cathriona White’s suicide was released earlier this week.

Carrey said in a statement, “When I came to Hollywood to make it as a comedian, I soon learned that the details of my private life would be handed out to the media like free dinner vouchers. I never dreamed that the people I love most in the world would also be on the menu. What a shame.”

White was found dead in September 2015 from an overdose of prescription medication, which has now been ruled as a suicide.

The autopsy and toxicology report, obtained by several outlets, details the drugs that were found in her system, such as painkillers oxycodone and oxymorphone, and other information, including excerpts from the suicide note she left for Carrey.

At the time of her death, Carrey told E! News, “I am shocked and deeply saddened by the passing of my sweet Cathriona. She was a truly kind and delicate Irish flower, too sensitive for this soil, to whom loving and being loved was all that sparkled. My heart goes out to her family and friends and to everyone who loved and cared about her. We have all been hit with a lightning bolt.”
