Here’s How Kylie Jenner’s Cosmetics Company Got the Better Business Bureau to Drop Their ‘F’ Rating
Kylie Jenner’s lip kit company went into damage control after the brand received an “F Rating” from the Better Business Bureau over massive complaints about their products and customer service. Though Jenner later cleared up the mess, things weren’t always so great for Kylie Cosmetics.
Rick Copelan, the president of the Better Business Bureau, told TMZ that Jenner’s makeup label got slapped with a big fat “F” because they failed to respond to the organization’s request for its sales numbers. After the BBB branded Kylie Cosmetics with a failing grade, a rep for the company quickly called up “asking how to fix it ASAP.”
Upon receiving the data, which was used to figure out the ratio of sales figures and complaints, Jenner’s company had their “F Rating” changed into a “No Rating.” According to Copelan, Jenner’s sales were “huge” when weighed against consumer complaints.
The publication notes that companies less than a year old will not get grades unless it’s lower than a “C Rating.” If Jenner’s company, which was started nine months ago, were to be formally reviewed now, it would get a rating between “C and B,” according to the website.
On Wedneday (July 6, 2016), Jenner responded to claims that her company was treating its customers poorly by sending out defective — and often stolen — goods.
“I’ve sold millions of lip kits and any complaint we’ve received to date has been addressed in a timely manner. I’m sick and tired of people coming for my business,” Jenner wrote on her app. “I love everything about Kylie Cosmetics and I will do anything in my power to protect and improve it every day and make you guys happy.”
She added, “I love you and apologize to anyone who felt the urge to complain and didn’t receive the service they deserve.”
Basically, Jenner’s got her work cut out for her.
