The actress walked back a bizarre post she shared in response to the deaths of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile.

After two high-profile shootings of African American men at the hands of police officers this week, Mischa Barton posted an image of herself in a bikini, on a boat and holding a glass of wine with a solemn expression on her face. She captioned the image, “I’m truly heart broken to watch videos like the #altonsterling execution. This may have been going on forever in the Unites States but thank god the pigs get caught on camera now…”

The actress’ post, although likely well-intentioned, was met with anger and confusion due to the strange pairing of heartfelt words next to an image seemingly flaunting her luxurious lifestyle. Eventually she deleted the post.

Then, Friday (July 8, 2016), Barton tweeted an apology, stating: “I’m human I’m not perfect and I’m sorry if my Instagram post went out of context I didn’t meant o offend anyone.”
