Was Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris’ Relationship ‘Orchestrated’ by a PR Team?

Calvin Harris is starting to think that his 15-month relationship with Taylor Swift was a publicity stunt drummed up by his ex’s team, according to those close to the Scottish DJ.

After seeing Swift parade her new romance with Tom Hiddleston around the world (quite literally), Harris is said to be peeved by the whole situation and now suspecting that the “Bad Blood” singer only used him for more press.

“He’s not happy about their relationship. He was hurt,” a source from Harris’ inner circle tells the New York Post. “Looking back, some friends do feel like Taylor’s team manipulated and orchestrated part of [her] relationship [with Calvin] after seeing how public she is with her new guy. It makes sense.”

Critics of Swift and Hiddleston have been quick to point out the similarities between the start of the songstress’ romance with Harris back in 2015 and her new relationship with Hiddleston. (After all, Swift did meet both men at celebrity events — Harris at the Elle Awards; Hiddletson during this year’s Met Gala — before being photographed going on dates with them respectively. She also publicized both relationships through sharing PDA photos.)

“I wouldn’t put it past her,” the insider adds. “That’s what they do. It’s obvious.”

Recently, Harris released a new track that seemingly called out Swift. In “Olé” with singer John Newman, the lyrics included, “I see online/That you’ve begun to be a good girl/And take trips with your boyfriend/Being attentive/Continue to pretend.”

Word of Swift and Hiddleston’s romance first surfaced after they were seen kissing at a beach in Rhode Island. Since then, the couple has traveled to three different continents, four different countries, and three different states in just 24 days.
