Potterheads! Listen up!

J.K. Rowling’s new film Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them may not be arriving in theaters for another four months, but the author has already penned a sequel that apparently has insiders buzzing.

We’ve seen the script for Part 2, for the second movie, which takes the story in a whole new direction – as you should, you don’t want to repeat yourself,” the director of Fantastic Beasts David Yates told Entertainment Weekly.

The Harry Potter spinoff tells the story of American magi-zoologist Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) as he races to capture several monstrous animals that have gotten loose in 1926 New York.

Yates added that Rowling is working as hard as ever on the new series, claiming the film’s second installment will turn our knowledge of the wizarding world on its ear.

“The second movie introduces new characters as she builds this part of the Harry Potter universe further. It’s a very interesting development from where we start out. The work is pouring out of her,”

Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them escapes Nov. 18, 2016.
