Cher Calls Kate Hudson’s Fabletics Clothing Line a ‘Pain in the Ass’
On Monday (July 18, 2016), the legendary singer took to — natch — Twitter to express her frustrations after doing some shopping at Fabletics, a subscription-based retailer that provides offers workout attire and gear designed by Hudson. Though Cher didn’t specify what she disliked about the label, she did have some heated words for the company.
“Made mistake of going2 Fabletics. What a pain in the ass.won’t even let u see anything Till u give them ur 1st born,” she tweeted. “Felt I Was Being Conned.”
Many guessed that Cher was referring to Fabletics’ membership process, which asks users to fill out a questionnaire — including body type, color preference, and favorite workouts — before suggesting pieces from the brand that fit with the answers given.
Clearly, Cher didn’t have time for that.
Celebuzz has reached out of Fabletics for a statement.
UPDATE 4:39 PM EST: Fabletics CMO Shawn Gold told us:
First of all, we love Cher! So bummed she did not like our member quiz. The introductory quiz helps us better understand our customers and personalize the shopping experience. By asking shoppers for their style and size preferences, we’re able to save our customers tons of money and eliminate waste. We only produce the clothing that people want. I wish we could turn back time and explain this to Cher.
