The tattoo artist and reality star felt the need to publicly oust her longtime pal.

Kat Von D took to the internet yesterday (July 18, 2016) to call out makeup artist and singer Jeffree Star.

Von D posted an image of her longtime friend with a red banned sign on his face along with a lengthy explanation for the decision:

“After years of making excuses for, and rationalizing Jeffree’s inappropriate behavior (including, promoting drug use, racism, and bullying) I can no longer hold my tongue after recent events.”

Although she withheld what prompted her to cut ties with Star so publicly, she did promise to explain herself in a forthcoming video. She also stated that she plans to pull the “Jeffree” shade from her collection.

Star responded to the post with a series of tweets claiming he and Von D haven’t seen each other for “over a year” and that she “never supported me or my brand and got distant when I launched mine.”

Naturally, Von D responded hinting that Star stole artwork of hers and refused to pay for it.

Although “Jeffree” is no longer available. Don’t fret. There’s clearly no shortage of shade out there.
