Celebuzz Cocktail Hour: Enjoy Tequila Nights with Casamigos

You’ve probably heard of Casamigos tequila before. George Clooney and his longtime friend, bar and restaurant mogul Rande Gerber, partnered with Discovery Land Company CEO & founder Mike Meldman to launch Casamigos Tequila.

“We love tequila. On the rocks, by the shot, at times, straight from the bottle,” say Clooney and Gerber.

“Our idea was to make the best-tasting, smoothest tequila whose taste didn’t have to be covered up with salt or lime. So we did.” say Clooney and Gerber.

Their tequila was always intended for personal use, to be shared with family and friends. Casamigos, named after Clooney’s and Gerber’s houses in Mexico, roughly translates to “house of friends,” and signifies getting away and good times.

Casamigos Grape Caipirita

Grape Caipirita

Ingredients:
2 oz. Casamigos Blanco Tequila
1 oz. Fresh Lime Juice
1 oz. Sugarcane Syrup (simple)
6 Red Seedless Grapes

Directions:
Combine all ingredients into tin shaker. Muddle fruit and add ice. Shake vigorously for 8-10 seconds. Pour ALL ingredients into rocks glass. Top off with fresh ice if needed. Garnish with a fresh lime wheel.


Casamigos Mexican Mimosa

Mexican Mimosa

Ingredients:
1 oz. Casamigos Blanco
1 oz. Fresh blood orange juice OR blood orange puree
2 dashes firewater bitters
Top off with Prosecco

Directions:
Method: Add all ingredients to tin shaker with only 2 ice cubes. Shake vigorously for 6 seconds. Add salt mixture if needed to glass by taking an orange wedge and wetting the edge of rim. Pour from tin shaker into champagne flute. Top off with Prosecco. Garnish with large orange peel expressed over cocktail and laid flat on top of flute / orange skin facing outward
Optional: Half rim of salt / sugar / chili mixture


Casamigos Pineapple Smoke

Pineapple Smoke

Ingredients:
2 oz. Casamigos Reposado
1 oz. Fresh lemon juice
.5 oz. Simple syrup
1.5 oz. Fresh
6-8 Grilled pineapple cubes
8-10 Cilantro leaves
2 dashes angostura bitters

Directions:
Method: Muddle all herbs and fruit in tin shaker. Add all other ingredients and ice. Shake vigorously for 8-10 seconds. Fine strain cocktail into appropriate glass and add fresh ice. Garnish with pineapple cube and cilantro leaf
Optional: Half rim of salt / sugar / cinnamon mixture
