Former ‘Bachelor’ Ben Higgins Is Officially Running for Office
Ben Higgins is jumping into politics.
The former Bachelor is running for office in the upcoming November election, according to the Denver Post. Although he has not yet publically announced his run, the website reports that he will officially be running as a Republican for a seat in the Colorado House of Representatives in the race to represent the state’s largely Democratic House District 4.
“I am definitely not a politician, but I have a lot to offer through my years in the financial services industry and, more importantly, my work in charitable and humanitarian organizations,” Higgins, 28, has previously said in regards to his political plans.
He and his fiancé, Lauren Bushnell, are planning a reality spinoff show that will air this fall on Freeform. Ben and Lauren: Happily Ever After is set to premiere in October.
