Jeremy Renner Calls Ex-Wife’s Claim That He Owes More Than $48K in Child Support ‘Completely Erroneous’

The acclaimed actor is fending off claims that he isn’t supporting his three-year-old daughter Ava.

Acclaimed actor Jeremy Renner got in hot water when his ex-wife Sonni Pacheco announced that not only is he behind paying child support but that he now owes $48,000. But Renner and his team say Pacheco’s claim is totally inaccurate, telling NY Daily News her accusations are “baseless and completely erroneous.”

“He has unequivocally never fallen behind on child support payments — this year he has paid several hundreds of thousands of dollars for his young daughter’s child support and well-being,” the actor’s rep said.

When Renner and Pacheco finalized their divorce, the actor was ordered to pay $13,000 per month in child support, as well as 5% of his salary if he makes more than $2.3 million a year, according to TMZ.

“He is a loving, attentive and caring father who moves his work schedule around to maximize his time with his daughter Ava,” the rep added. “In terms of pre-school tuition for the three-year-old, this was never part of the divorce decree,” a rep for the actor continued. “His ex continues on a quest of trying to publicly demean the actor and extricate him from as much money as she can for her sole benefit.”
