Meryl Streep Delivers Passionate Speech As Alicia Keys Performs for Hillary Clinton

Celebs Sing 'Fight Song' for Hillary Clinton
Hillary Clinton has some star-studded support.

Meryl Streep wore an American flag to the DNC.

The Into the Woods actress delivered a passionate speech during the Democratic National Convention on Tuesday night (July 26, 2016). She took the stage shortly after Hillary Clinton was officially named the Democratic presidential nominee to confidently declare that the 68-year-old will be named America’s first woman president in November.

“What does it take to be the first female anything? It takes grit and it takes grace,” she began. Hillary Clinton has taken some fire over 40 years of her fight for families and children. How does she do it? That’s what I want to know. Where does she get her grit and grace? Where do any of our female firsts, our path makers, where do they find that strength?”

Watch her speech below — at one point she even yells and the look on her face is priceless. It’s almost better than that time she dressed up as Donald Trump.

Meanwhile, a make-up-free Alicia Keys took the stage at the DNC to deliver a medley of her power anthems, “Superwoman” and “Girl on Fire.”
