‘The Walking Dead’ Is Gonna Be a Whole New World, Thanks to Negan

At the end of Season 6, things were looking grim for our favorite The Walking Dead folks, as new uber-villain Negan played eeny-meeny-miney-moe on which one he was going to club to death with his bat, Lucille.

The actor who plays uber-villain Jeffrey Dean Morgan, told Entertainment Weekly for their weekly cover story that’s only the beginning of his reign of terror. “It’s a reset on The Walking Dead world,” he said. “It’s f–king Negan’s world now.” Eeeek.

Morgan added, “It’s going to be a whole new beginning for The Walking Dead. Really, we’ve taken the show and just flipped it upside down. It’s a different show now. It’s going to have a different feeling. You’re going to see your favorite characters in a position that they’ve never been in before, which is super vulnerable and victimized.”

The Season 7 trailer for the hit AMC show, which premiered at Comic-Con, also revealed new leader Ezekiel (Khary Payton) and his pet tiger Shiva, who preside over “The Kingdom.” This fan favorite from the comic-book will be an ally to Rick and the rest. At least, we hope so.

The Walking Dead premieres Sunday, October 23 on AM – and we’ll be there recapping with bells on!
