Tyler Posey Sets Record Straight on His ‘I’m Gay!’ Snapchat Video

Tyler Posey posted a joyful Snapchat video on Friday that led many to believe he was coming out, but the Teen Wolf star clarified on Twitter he’s not gay, just a big supporter of the LBGT community and “love over hate.”

According to Gossip Cop, the Snapchat video showed Posey next to a street sign reading “Gay St,” in which he declares, “This is me. I am this and this is me. I’ve never felt more alive. I’m gay!”

Twitter naturally exploded over the supposed coming out news, but then Posey posted a second Snapchat in which he replaced the word “gay” with “lamp,” which made some think it was a joke.

Posey took to Twitter on Saturday morning to explain. “I am a big proponent of love over hate, and standing together during divisive times. Although I’m not gay, I fully support the LGBTQ community. This was a moment intended to reflect that.”

He then added, “And everyone, I am truly sorry to the people I’ve offended or lessened how big coming out is. I just want to spread love in this world.”

Posey was previously engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Seana Gorlick. The couple split in 2014.
