Bradley Cooper and ‘Hangover’ Director Teaming Up Again for HBO Miniseries About ISIS

Bradley Cooper Was Surprised by the Backlash Following His Appearance at the DNC
The A-list actor talks about his reaction when fans angrily commented on him popping up in Philadelphia last week.

The hunky A-lister is helping adapt a harrowing new book.

Bradley Cooper is re-teaming with writer/director Todd Phillips to adapt Joby Warrick’s new nonfiction book Black Flags: The Rise of ISIS. The book traces the origins of the terrorist organization, which is now feared throughout the world.

No word on if Cooper will be starring in the miniseries or just producing.

Deadline reports:

After reading Black Flags, Cooper immediately envisioned it as a limited series and sought out Warrick. He and Phillips then traveled to Warrick’s hometown to meet with him. The duo pitched the idea for the mini and discussed collaborating on the project.

Black Flags could not be more timely as the threat of ISIS continues to grow with deadly attacks across multiple continents, including a string of tragedies in the heart of Europe.
