Anne Hathaway Pens Powerful Message About Post-Baby Weight Loss

"I say my rhymes are like your ratings man, they're incredibly bleak."

Anne Hathaway has a powerful message for moms.

The actress shared a heartfelt message to new mothers, telling them there is “no shame” if they don’t immediately snap back to their pre-baby bodies right after giving birth. Hathaway, who welcomed her first child in March, says she experienced firsthand the pressure many women feel to lose the baby weight as fast as possible. However, she doesn’t let it get to her.

On Monday (Aug. 8, 2016), she took to Instagram to give fans an update on her progress. Although her body isn’t exactly where she wants it to be, there is nothing wrong with that.

“There is no shame in gaining weight during pregnancy (or ever). There is no shame if it takes longer than you think it will to lose the weight (if you want to lose it at all),” she wrote.

Unlike Kim Kardashian, Hathaway is in no rush. “Bodies change. Bodies grow. Bodies shrink. It’s all love (don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.),” she added.

Keep doing you, Princess Mia Anne.
