Here’s What Tyrese Has to Say About Dwayne Johnson’s ‘Candy Asses’ Rant on His ‘Fast 8′ Male Co-Stars

Tyrese, Dwayne Johnson’s Fast and Furious co-star, addressed Johnson’s Facebook rant against his male co-stars in a now-deleted Instagram post on Tuesday (Aug. 9, 2016).

Tyrese excused himself from Johnson’s narrative, which suggested that some of his male co-stars are unprofessional “candy asses” who are “too chicken shit” to do anything about their behavior, by displaying Johnson’s affectionate side with a video of Johnson singing “Happy Birthday” to his daughter.

“Why are you guys so impressionable? A man wouldn’t be singing from his heart and soul to another mans little angel if he had a problem with her dad,” wrote Tyrese in the caption of his Instagram post. “Does any of us know why bro decided to jump out there with his post? No…Would one assume that IF he’s going to jump out there and generalize and say ‘Male Co-Stars’ he would be more clear and call out names???”

Tyrese alleged that he doesn’t know who the source of Johnson’s rage is and that he wouldn’t discuss those details even if he knew who Johnson was referencing.

“I will humbly say this I’m personally not doing this for anyone but my brother Paul Walker—this franchise is not about and has never been about anyone of us individually it’s about the #FASTFAMILY—the TRIBE,” continued Tyrese, describing Johnson as “one of the most humble, down to earth and professional people” that he’s ever worked with. “I love this franchise and ALL of the hard working past and present crews that have contributed to one of the biggest Multi Ethnic franchise films in the history of cinema.”
