Mariah Carey Dispels Diva Rumors from Her Private Yacht

Mariah Carey shuts down stories about her alleged extraordinary diva behavior in a chat, filmed on her (not his) yacht, with Entertainment Tonight.

When asked if it was true that she actually demands her own entrance music when she and her fiancé James Packer enter Capri’s famed restaurant, Ristorante Aurora, Carey explained that the story was false.

“They have their own playlist,” Carey told ET, noting that if her music happens to play that it’s not by her selection. “Somebody there made a playlist of my songs that I like better than the playlists that I have, and I was there and I was like, ‘Can we get this one?'”

She also snuffed out the rumor that she has the restaurants where she dines fly in her favorite wines from France for dinner.

“Sure, yeah, we do that every day,” says Carey, sarcastically. “Please don’t believe it.”

When she’s not eating at the finest restaurants in the world, Carey has recently been working on her new album with Jermaine Dupri. She also filmed a guest appearance on Empire that will air on Oct. 5.

“It’s not going to be Mariah Carey,” she says of her character. “We’ve had a couple of conversations and I think she is going to be pretty glamorous, but I don’t know. We will see.”
