‘Criminal Minds’ Actor Shemar Moore Robbed of $60K by Guest Star
It’s a sad day for Criminal Minds fans…
Shemar Moore, best known as Derek Morgan on crime procedural, says he was robbed of $60,000 and he wants justice.
When Keith Tisdell guest starred on the hit CBS show during Season 8, he and Moore struck up a friendship that ultimately resulted in a business partnership. But, according to Moore, Tisdell was funneling money from their non-profit the whole time. Tisdell was helping Moore run Baby Girl LLC, which raises money for multiple sclerosis.
“I’ve done a lot for him because he had me, my friends fooled,” Moore told the LA Times. “I’m not here for money. I’m here because he betrayed a friendship. This is not OK. You don’t do this to people.”
Moore explained that before he discovered Tisdell has taken thousands, he had gifted him a number of things including $10,000 rims for his car, footing the bill for vacations overseas and roughly $20,000 in expenses.
On Wednesday, Tisdell was ordered to pay Moore $61,084 or face jail time. His lawyer turned over $5,000 in money orders, so Tisdell has roughly $56,000 to go.
