Hugh Grant Doesn’t Recognize Former ‘Bridget Jones’ Co-Star Renée Zellweger

Last week, after years of speculation, Renée Zellweger finally addressed her changing looks, but it seems like former Bridget Jones’s Diary co-star Hugh Grant didn’t get the memo.

Last night, Grant stopped by Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen to discuss his upcoming film, Florence Foster JenkinsDuring on segment, Grant was asked to answer a few questions about some of his former female co-stars, but when presented with a picture of Zellweger, the actor was completely stumped.

“Who is the one second from the right, because I’ve never seen her before in my life?” Grant asked before someone told him who it was. “Oh Renée!” he said sounding shocked.

While it seemed like Grant was genuinely surprised by Zellweger’s changing looks, the low-key shade didn’t stop him from continuing to pile on the actress saying none of his co-stars were “down to earth.”

As to why Grant decided to skip out on the latest addition to the Bridget Jones series, the actor said the script just didn’t work for him. “They did come to me a couple of years ago,” he revealed. “They had a lovely idea for a film. I’m particularly difficult and queeny when it comes to scripts, and I couldn’t quite make the script work for me, so they then made it without me and I’m sure it’s brilliant.”
