Scott Eastwood Admits It Was ‘Harder to Date’ After Losing Girlfriend in Fatal Car Crash

Scott Eastwood may have lived a privileged life being the son of a Hollywood legend, but that doesn’t mean he hasn’t experienced his fair share of tragedy.
In a recent interview with GQ Australia, Eastwood tells the heartbreaking story of what it was like to lose his girlfriend in a fatal car accident and how that made it harder for the 30-year-old to date now.

“I dated a girl a couple of years ago who died in a car accident,” the cover star admitted to the magazine when asked when was the last time he cried. “The fucked up thing is, it was a fender bender, and there was a recall on airbags. Her airbag exploded. It shot a projectile through her body. It split her spine, and um… I’ve never told anybody that.

Eastwood continues, confessing that even though he’s lost people close to him before, he’d never been so affected by a death. ” I’ve lost friends before; I’ve lost some great friends,” he admitted before adding, “But, I had never lost someone I had been really intimate with, you know, like in that way, in a relationship. I think that really affected me in a way that… I don’t know. Maybe it’s made it harder for me to date.”

“I still never called her father,” he confessed. “I still haven’t found the right words.”
