Britney Spears Doesn’t Approve of Her Lifetime Movie

Britney Spears Is Getting Her Very Own Lifetime Movie
Someone's making a film about her music career.

A biopic of Britney Spears’ meteoric rise to fame may be in the works, but the Princess of Pop wants no part of it. In fact, she disapproves of it entirely.

Just a day after it was announced that Lifetime will be making a two-hour movie about the “Make Me” singer’s life, a spokesperson for Spears has publicly denounced the project.

“Britney Spears will not be contributing in any way, shape or form to the Lifetime biopic,” a rep tells Us Weekly, “nor does it have her blessing.”

As previously reported, the TV film — simply titled Britney — will star newcomer Natasha Bassett as Spears. According to Lifetime’s announcement, the flick will follow the “tumultuous true story” of Spears’ life as it covers her much talked-about relationship with Justin Timberlake, her two marriages to Jason Alexander and Kevin Federline, and her highly-publicized breakdown.

So far, a release date has not been set.
