WATCH: Christina Grimmie’s Last Posthumous Music Video ‘Deception’

LISTEN: Tori Kelly Pens Emotional Song in Memory of Christina Grimmie
Tori Kelly is still reeling from the shocking death of Christine Grimmie...

Before Christina Grimmie was tragically shot and killed by a deranged fan in June of this year, the young performer was hard at work on a series of music videos for her new Side A EP titled The Ballad of Jessica Blue, which follows the story of a fictional singer, played by Grimmie. Today, Billboard released the final video in the series, “Deception.”

In the last video “Anybody’s You,” Grimmie’s character suspects that her boyfriend is cheating on her. The singer follows him and a mystery woman around a rooftop. In the new video, she arrives at a studio clearly upset by the prior events. Spliced into the video are scenes in which she looks into a mirror as her character’s mother comforts her.

“There’s some things you can never lose once you find them, your voice is one of them,” her mother says.

What follows is a somber piano number that appears to lament the end of Blue’s relationship. The song showcases Grimmie’s impressive vocal range and songwriting chops; a wealth of talent gone far too soon.
