Rihanna, who will be performing at this year’s MTV VMAs, has become a VMA veteran over the years.

Ri-Ri’s MTV VMAs performances have gone down in VMA history as some of the best, like her duets with Eminem, T.I., and even Fall Out Boy. She’s also taken home the Video of the Year Moonman for “Umbrella” and “We Found Love,” making her the only female artist to win the show’s top prize twice.

Rihanna is set to receive the Michael Jackson Vanguard Video Award at this year’s VMAs, so it’s only fitting that we take a look back at her best VMA moments to date:

Rihanna made her first MTV VMAs appearance in 2006 when she was just 18 years old. She was nominated that year for her Best New Artist in a Video for one of her first hits, “SOS.”

Since then, she’s taken the VMA stage by storm with her performances. Her epic rendition of “Disturbia” and “We Found Love” are some of her finest and in case you forgot (or blocked it out of your memory), she shared the stage with Chris Brown for a performance of “Umbrella” at the 2007 VMAs.

But when she’s not getting onstage to give another killer performance or accept yet another Moonman, Rihanna is sitting in the audience giving us the awards show candids that give life to our Twitter feeds, like this famous popcorn spill from the VMAs in 2013.
