Here’s What Courtney Stodden Bought to Help Her Cope with Her Miscarriage

Courtney Stodden is taking serious steps to help her deal with the loss of her unborn child.

The former teen bride got a “reborn” baby, a realistic doll made to resemble an actual newborn, as a way to cope with her miscarriage.

“I got a reborn baby based on the advice of my therapist,” she told Us Weekly. “Apparently, quite often, these babies are used to help women cope with losing an angel baby whether that be in the form of a miscarriage, stillbirth or neonatal loss.”

“It’s been surprisingly healing having him here with me,” Stodden, who just turned 22, continued. “When I hold him, I feel incredibly calm. He offers a soothing effect that I need at this point in time.”

Aside from the doll, the reality star also purchased a plethora of wigs after shaving her head to mark a “new chapter” in her life. Channeling her idol, Marilyn Monroe, once again, Stodden recently showed off her new collection of hair on Instagram.

Happy birthday to me

Wearing only a blonde wig and nothing else, Stodden sang “Happy Birthday” to herself in bed while sipping on a glass of champagne. She mused in the video, giggling, “I feel drunk.”

As previously reported, Stodden miscarried her first child with husband Doug Hutchison in July.
