After former pageant contestant Baylee Curran accused Brown of threatening her with a gun, the singer was released from jail after posting $250,000 bail. Brown’s lawyer Mark Geragos, took to Twitter to confirm his release and thank everyone for their well wishes.
Thanks to everyone for their support and well wishes. Chris is out and well. The allegations against him are demonstrably false #TeamBreezy

Brown also took to social media following his release, opting to post a screen shot Geragos’s tweet to his Instagram, and regramming a video from Ray J, who was at the house when the alleged assault took place. “Yo, this Ray J. Check it out. I’m real upset about today. I’m not happy with how things are handled and how people can take a false story and blow it up into something way more than what it should be,” the singer insisted.
As Brown gears up to fight against the allegations, new information about his accuser Curran has been revealed. Curran, who says Brown pulled a gun on her after she admired a piece of jewelry, was a suspect in a grand larceny case in New York City back in 2013.
According to police documents obtained by TMZ, Curran snatched a $1,000 Louis Vuitton purse from a girl in the lobby of the plaza hotel and took off running out of the hotel and down the block. Security chased after Curran, who dropped the purse, but managed to keep its contents and successfully flee from security. When police arrived on the scene, Curran was long gone, but her alleged victim opted to take out a restraining order against her.
Curran maintains the thief was her friend, not her.
