Naya Rivera and Her High School Art Teacher Bonded Over Their Breast Implants

A new passage released from Naya Rivera’s upcoming memoir reveals that her 18th birthday present to herself was a huge boost for her confidence.

The Glee star says that she was so excited for her breast implants that she told all of her teachers that she was going to be out of school for the surgery.

“My art teacher was stoked – when I told her she said that she too had fake tits and that she was very excited for me,” writes Rivera in Sorry Not Sorry.

She says that getting the implants, which were financed by her earnings from her childhood jobs such as her role on Family Matters, was a decision that she made for her own morale.

“My new boobs were a confidence thing, not a sexual thing,” writes Rivera. “I’d never even taken my top off for a guy. I hadn’t had many opportunities to do so, but even if I had, my bra was always stuffed with napkins.”

Though her mother and father did not approve of her breast augmentation at the time, she says that she does not regret making the decision to get implants.

“People have a lot of opinions about plastic surgery, but more than ten years after I got my boobs, they still make me happy when I look in the mirror. It might have even been the best $8K I’ve ever spent,” writes Rivera.
