'Stranger Things' Star Shannon Purser Reacts to How Fans Obsessed over Her Character, Barb
Sometimes, it's the smaller characters who strike the biggest chord with fans.

Just as the delightful news that a second season of the hit Netflix series Stranger Things is in the works, a Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon sketch reveals there is still some unfinished business – namely, how everyone forgot about Barb (played by actress Shannon Purser), who was left, presumably, for dead in the Upside Down in Season 1.

Host Jimmy Fallon, as Steve Harrington, brings Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin), and even Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) face-to-face with Barb (a cleverly disguised Tonight Show head writer A.D. Miles), who lets them have it for forgetting about her. That’s fine, says Barb, because she says she’s sending Will back into the Upside Down and getting her own Netflix spin-off series, Orange Is The New B*tch. Watch the hilariousness above!

But wait, could Barb return for Season 2? According to Stranger Things creators/brothers Matt and Ross Duffer she did officially die at the hands of the Demogorgon, but… “Barb will not be forgotten. We’ll make sure there’s some justice for Barb,” they told IGN. Well, we certainly hope so!

Season 2 of Stranger Things will premiere in 2017.
