The “Make Me…” singer is putting a stop to “made-up” stories about her.
Britney Spears and her legal team are threatening to sue In Touch magazine if they run what Spears’ team calls a totally inaccurate story.
According to TMZ, the Las Vegas headliner’s people were notified that the magazine was planning to publish a story claiming the pop star was acting strangely at the 2016 MTV Music Video Awards, allegedly “talking and laughing to herself and using a British accent.”
Spears’ rep replied with a letter threatening to take legal if the publication decided to publish the story, calling it “utterly false, highly defamatory and completely offensive to Ms. Spears.”
A source with TMZ shared that the songstress and her team are sick and tired of “made-up” stories as Spears continues to work to get her life back on track.
