M.I.A. Releases Her (Maybe) Final Album ‘AIM’ and We’re Sad Already
M.I.A. officially released her fifth album, AIM.
The new (and potentially her final) album, which dropped on Thursday night (Sep. 7, 2016), contains the previously released songs, including “Freedun” with Zayn Malik. It also features music with Skrillex, Diplo, and more. So will this be her final album ever? It’s very possible that it is.
“It’s my last record so I wanted it to be happy,” the rapper told BBC Radio 1 in a recent interview. “I wanna go and do some other stuff and take some time out.”
“I came out of a relationship and I had all of this time on my hands and nothing to do. This record kind of become that,” she said when asked about the inspiration behind the album. “It was just sort of me finding myself again and coming to terms with what your life is.”
You can stream AIM on both iTunes and Spotify. Listen below!
