Taylor Swift Fulfills One of Her Fan’s Dying Wishes
Taylor Swift was able to help a young girl dying of a congenital heart defect feel a whole lot better.
Meghan Hils, the daughter of a Cincinnati police sergeant, became eligible for a wish through the Dream Foundation – and her number one choice was to speak with Swift.
“You can list two possible wishes,” Hils’ father wrote on Facebook. “Meghan wanted a phone call or a video chat with Taylor Swift, but reasoned that she is so popular currently there would be little if any chance of her being reached.”
The “Blank Check” singer spoke with Meghan via Facetime for about a half an hour and made all the difference in the world.
Meghan wrote a note to Swift to thank her, and it was posted on Facebook. “The words thank you will never be enough to say to Taylor Alison Swift for this day & taking the time to video chat with me for 29 minutes on September 8th, 2016,” she wrote. “Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Taylor.”
And this isn’t the only act of kindness Swift has done recently. She also donated $5,000 to the family of a girl who died in a car crash, through their GoFundMe page.
“No words could express how sorry I am for your loss. I know that you will keep Katie’s memory alive,” Swift, 26, wrote on the account page. “Please know how much I am thinking of you and saying a prayer for your family. All my love, Taylor.”
