Victoria Beckham Does the Electric Slide Amid Spice Girls Open Audition Rumors

Victoria Beckham Admits to Lip Syncing During Spice Girls Concerts
Maybe this is why there won't be a complete Spice Girls reunion any time soon.

Though she’s not involved in the upcoming Spice Girls reunion, Victoria Beckham still got the moves.

According to Page Six, the singer-turned-designer showed off her dancing skills and did the Electric Slide to Marcia Griffiths’ “Electric Boogie” during a dinner at the Edition Hotel in New York City. As diners sat on plush velvet seats and sipped on pricey cocktails, the mom-of-four was “going over to guests and asking them to do the dance with her,” according to an onlooker.

“She was calling people over. She did the dance for like 15 minutes,” the inside told the publication. “She had them play it three times in a row.”

Even after the meal, Beckham was reportedly “doing the slide again! Just to whatever song was on.” It was said that about 20 people joined her on the makeshift dance floor in the middle of the restaurant.

Earlier this year, Beckham shared a video of herself doing the same dorky dance move in an Instagram video.

Beckham’s impromptu dance off came hot on the heels of news that members of the Spice Girls are looking to host open auditions to find two new honorary members to fill in the slots left empty by Beckham and Mel C, who both declined the invitation to perform with their former bandmates at a 21st anniversary concert.

Emma Bunton, Mel B and Geri Halliwellnow collectively known as GEM — approached the BBC to create a reality show to search for the new Sporty and Posh Spice, according to The International Business Times.

The proposed talent search is rumored spread over five consecutive nights in April 2017. In true televised competition, auditions are said to involve various phases and heats, culminating in a live finale on BBC1 in which the winners will join the iconic girl group for a live show in Hyde Park next July.

Basically, you better break out your platform dancing shoes.
