‘Gilmore Girls’ Revival Will Show More of Michel’s Personal Life
If you aren’t already peeing your pants about the upcoming Netflix revival Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, then you might be now.
We know we’ll be able to see what the Girls — Rory (Alexis Bledel) and Lorelai (Lauren Graham) — are up to, but it looks like we’ll find out more about grumpy Michel Gerard, played by Yanic Truesdale, and what he does outside his job as concierge at the Dragonfly Inn in Stars Hollow.
Truesdale told E! News at Buzzfeed’s pre-Emmys Buzzies party, “What I can is that my character has always been very private and we’ve seen him a lot at work, and this time around we’ll know more about who he is, who he’s dating and his personal life. So that’s exciting to me… There’s a lot happening for me and it’s very rewarding,” he dished.
Truesdale also said returning to the Stars Hollow set had a “very strange feeling to it. It’s like going back to a house that you grew up in. It’s exciting because you have another shot that’s something that was very meaningful and had impacted a lot of people. It’s exciting to have something new to give to the fans!”
The four 90-minute episodes of Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life hits Netflix on Friday, Nov. 25.
