Prince Harry Wants Everyone to Know That He’s Really Good at Soccer
Prince Harry showed off his amazing soccer skills during his recent visit to Aberdeen, Scotland.
The British royal played an impromptu one-on-one game as part of the Streetsport initiative with a volunteer at the Robert Gordon University on Tuesday (Sept. 20, 2016). He proved to everyone that he’s much better at soccer than we all thought.
“It was good fun, he’s a good sport,” his soccer opponent, Nordean Elouissi, told reporters following their friendly match. During the visit, Prince Harry also revealed that his Colour Sergeant helped him “push forward” after his mother, Princess Diana, died in 1997.
“I was at a stage in my life when I was probably lacking a bit in guidance. I lost my mum when I was very young and suddenly I was surrounded by a huge number of men in the army,” Prince Harry said, without revealing the man’s name. “He was someone who teased me at the right moments and gave me the confidence to look forward, to actually have that confidence in yourself to know who you are and to push forward and try to help others.”
