Kim Kardashian’s DIY Makeup Leads Today’s Star Sightings

Kim Kardashian's Drugstore Makeup Tutorial
You don't need to spend a fortune to look like Kim Kardashian.

Kim Kardashian’s glam squad may use over $1,500 worth of products when they’re getting her ready for the red carpet, but the reality star admittedly as a simpler and cheaper routine when she’s doing her own makeup.

The mom-of-two, who was spotted heading to a business meeting on Thursday (Sept. 22, 2016), recently gave a breakdown of her daily regime, showing fans exactly what she puts on her face when her go-to makeup artists aren’t around. Filming the steps, Kardashian gave an impromptu tutorial from a hotel bathroom.

“I’m always getting asked to live stream my makeup routine, so I finally did it!” she later wrote on her app. “I swear, I can normally do this entire routine in 5 to 10 minutes, but because I was explaining my process (and Jonathan [Cheban] was distracting me, lol), it took me a little while longer.”

Kardashian first prepped her skin by wiping it clean with Neutrogena Night Calming Face Wipes before applying on Guerlain Méteorites Base Perfecting Pearls and La Mer The Perfecting Treatment. She then applied Giorgio Armani Fluid Sheer as a base foundation before using Giorgio Armani Crema Nuda, adding a touch of Benefit Cosmetics High Beam as a highlighter.

To conceal her blemishes (because Kardashians have problematic skin, too), she used a MAC 249 Brush and applied colors from the Kryolan Dermacolor Palette under her eyes, on the top of her nose and above her lip. After using a dry concealer, Kardashian switched to a cream-based one and blended in Make Up For Ever Full Cover Concealer onto her problem areas with a Beauty Blender. For more of a shimmer, Kardashian gently dabbed on a few drops of Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector on top of her concealer.

Later, Kardashian set her makeup by applying Laura Mercier Translucent Powder to her face, neck and behind the ears using a Laura Mercier Velour Puff. For those who like to bake, she recommended applying the powder under the eyes until you’re done with contouring.

“I always appreciate a good strobe! While I’m traveling, I don’t have time to do all of my major contour, so to get a great contour, I usually mix a few colors,” she noted, using Smashbox Suntan MatteAnastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit and Anastasia Beverly Hills Illuminator in Peach Nectar to get the perfect combination.

Wiping off the powder from under her eyes, she then dusted on the fan-favorite NARS Blush in Orgasm before working her brows with MAC Brow Pencil in Lingering and Anastasia Beverly Hills Tinted Brow Gel.

“My go-to eyeshadow is the Lorac Starry-Eyed Baked Eyeshadow in Superstar,” she shared, explaining to also use MAC Liquidlast Liner in Boot Black as a top liner and Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Bourbon for the lower water line. “It’s this amazing trio palette! I usually blend the colors and apply to my eyelids.”

Crediting her full lashes to the Surratt Relevée Lash Curler, she revealed she uses two different types of mascara for each coat: L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Extra-Volume Collagen Mascara and Kevyn Aucoin The Volume Mascara.

As for lips, Kardashian confessed to relying on three products for a good nude pout: Kylie Cosmetics Lip Kit in Candy KNARS Lipstick in Belle de Jour and NARS Lip Lacquer in Chelsea Girls. To get a clean line, Kardashian used face powder as contour.

“To get my neutral lip, I put on three different lipsticks,” she shared. “Afterward, I take a tissue and blot!”
