Chris Brown Insists He’s a Good Father Despite Child Services Investigation

Chris Brown and Nia Guzman continue to spar following Brown’s recent arrest.

According to TMZ, Guzman, the mother of Brown’s 2-year-old child Royalty, filed a complaint with the Department of Community and Family Services shortly after Brown was arrested for allegedly pulling a gun on actress Baylee Curran, which caused them to investigate his house on Thursday (Sept. 22, 2016). The tabloid reports that all of Brown’s visits with Royalty must be supervised by his mother until his case with Curran is settled. TMZ was told that Guzman isn’t fighting to reduce Brown’s level of custody, but agrees that “monitored visits are best for now.”

Brown spoke out about the situation in a now-deleted video on Instagram where he argued that he is a responsible father.

“I take great pride in being a father. Great responsibility in being a father. I love my daughter, make sure she’s healthy, her education. I pay for it all. Never have an issue with that,” said Brown. “What I do have an issue with is if there’s one inkling of a problem, somebody uses that as a meal ticket instead of treatment for their daughter. I take care of my daughter fully so, everything else, all these allegations and bulls**t, stop lying, bro.”
