Here’s What Bobby Brown Thinks of Nick Gordon Being Legally Responsible for Bobbi Kristina’s Death
Speaking to pastor T.D. Jakes in an emotional interview set to air Sept. 28, the singer speaks candidly about Nick, who was recently found “legally responsible” for Bobbi Kristina’s passing in 2015. For Bobby, he’s adamant that his daughter’s former boyfriend was the one behind the death.
“I know some things that happened to my daughter. I don’t know the specifics of what happened, but as the judge has said, he is legally responsible,” Brown says. “I know some things that happened to my daughter, but it’s up to the D.A. now to do his job.”
He explains, “Just knowing that [Nick is] legally responsible for my daughter’s death has given me a bit of calmness to waiting for the D.A.,” he shared. “There’s a lot of strange things that will come out in the criminal charges against Nick.”
Earlier this month, a judge ruled that Nick is legally responsible for BK’s death after he failed to show up to court. Brown and the rest of his family are suing Nick for $50 million, claiming that he had stolen from Bobbi Kristina and assaulted her prior to her passing. The lawsuit also alleges that Gordon had given his girlfriend a “toxic cocktail” that caused her to lose consciousness before she was placed in the tub.
As previously reported, Bobbi Kristina was found unresponsive in her bathtub at her home on Jan. 31, 2015 and transferred to Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. She was in a medically induced coma for weeks before being moved to another facility in March. After having suffered from irreversible brain damage, Bobbi Kristina was pronounced dead on July 26, 2015 at Peachtree Christian Hospice. Her cause of death was ruled as a combination of drowning and drug intoxication.
According to Bobby, there were curious circumstances surrounding his daughter’s death as she did not like using bathtubs after her mother, the late Whitney Houston, was found dead in her bath in 2012.
“My daughter was afraid of tubs because of what happened to her mom. So I know she wouldn’t have gotten in the tub,” Bobby reasons. “I mean, it’s crazy because the tub wasn’t even full of water. It had a dustpan in it, in the bottom of the tub.”
