WATCH: Miley Cyrus Jokes About Giving Ellen DeGeneres Molly as She Covers for the Sick Host

Even talk show hosts get sick, but as they say in the business “The show must go on,” so when Ellen DeGeneres realized she was too sick to host her self-titled show, she called in none other than Miley Cyrus.

Cyrus was honored to take over for DeGeneres and took her hosting duties very seriously, channeling her inner Ellen as she danced out for her opening monologue. “Hey Everybody. Thank you. Thank you! Alright, everybody, I am Ellen DeGeneres. Right. Ok. Obviously, I’m not Ellen. I am Miley Cyrus,” she began. “Alright, listen now I know all of you came to see Ellen so I’m gonna do my best to make you very happy. I’m dressed like her, I smell like her, just before I came out here I actually kissed a girl so uh thank you.”

Cyrus went on to explain that DeGeneres was feeling a little under the weather, but she was making sure the host would get better in no time. “Don’t worry you guys Ellen will be fine, but she just isn’t feeling well so she’s asked me to fill in and of course, I said yes for my girl Ellen. And I gave her a bunch of Molly to make her feel better,” she joked. “It’s working.”

This may have been the first time Cyrus hosted her own talk show, but she held her own with some seriously amazing guests. First, Cyrus sat down with Idina Menzel, who gushed about her recent engagement and revealed her 7-year-old son with Taye Diggs, Walker, uses her Frozen status to flirt with girls. “I overheard this while I was volunteering in the class one day, he was like, ‘Hey you want my mom’s autograph, she’s Else in Frozen.'”
