Daniel Radcliffe Admits He Has Hardly Touched His Nearly $100M from the ‘Harry Potter’ Films

Although playing the hero of JK Rowling’s books on the big screen made him a multimillionaire, Daniel Radcliffe revealed in a new interview that he’s not a big spender.

“I don’t really do anything with my money,” he told the Telegraph. “I’m very grateful for it, because having money means you don’t have to worry about it, which is a very lovely freedom to have. It also gives me immense freedom career-wise.”

Now that Radcliffe doesn’t have to concern himself with paying the bills ever again, he says he focuses on picking projects that captivate him and, in theory, would also captivate his fandom.

“For all the people who’ve followed my career, I want to give them something to be interested in, rather than just make loads of money on crap films for the rest of my life,” he added.

In fact, the 27-year-old admitted that he’d be lost without his profession. Admirably revealing that fortune or no fortune, acting is his life.

“If someone told me tomorrow, ‘You’re never going back on set,’ I really wouldn’t know what to do with the rest of my life,” Radcliffe said. “I don’t know what my life looks like without regularly being on a film set. I’d go crazy. I’m one of the lucky few who loves my job.”
