2 Chainz Snagged This Legendary Home for a Bargain

Rapper 2 Chainz purchased a piece of property in Hollywood Hills that’s been graced by the presence of music legends.

Trulia reports that 2 Chainz invested in a three-bedroom, five-bathroom home that was previously owned by guitarist Steve Vai, where Van Halen and Ozzy Osbourne recorded their greatest hits. 2 Chainz purchased the home at a discount, knocking $50,000 off of its original price of $2.5 million, to bring his grand total to $2.45 million.

The 3,400-square-foot home sits above Beachwood Canyon and overlooks the city of Los Angeles. It was fully renovated with modern finishes, featuring a chef’s kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a spacious patio.

Best of all, 2 Chainz’s new pad comes equipped with a 1,400-square-foot recording studio that was often referred to as Vai’s Mothership Studio. It has its own private entrance, a kitchen, a bath, and a lounge area, so why even bother purchasing the rest of the house?
