Here are some of the news stories that you may have missed today.

24 hours after the Donald Trump and Billy Bush audio leaks, Melania Trump finally speaks out on the issue. But, don’t be so quick to believe that she has only kind words to offer.

“The words my husband used are unacceptable and offensive to me,” she explains in a personal statement released online. “This does not represent the man that I know.”

For those of you who haven’t been keeping up with the Trumps, the words that Trump is referring to comes from a leaked 2005 conversation between her husband and the then Access Hollywood host Bush. During this conversation, the Republican presidential candidate used very graphic and disturbing language to describe women.

In the audio, the former reality star shared a story where he unsuccessfully tried to seduce an unnamed married woman who was eventually revealed to be Nancy O’Dell.

“I moved on her and I failed,” Trump said in the audio. “I’ll admit it. I did try and fuck her. She was married.”

On Friday (Oct. 07, 2016), the presidential candidate took to Twitter to post a video apology for his offensive comments. In the video, Trump explains that the 11-year-old conversation was nothing more than “locker room banter” between him and Bush.

Despite her husband’s offensive comments that continue to resurface, the potential next First Lady still stands by her man.

“He has the heart and mind of a leader,” she says. “I hope people will accept his apology, as I have, and focus on the important issues facing our nation and the world. “
