Selena Gomez Makes an Appearance in Tennessee During Break from the Spotlight
Prepare to freak out, Selenators. This weekend, Selena Gomez magically resurfaced after time off from the limelight. We are here to say she is doing okay.
On Saturday (Oct. 08, 2016), the “Hands to Myself” singer was spotted having lunch at Texas Roadhouse in Alcoa, Tennessee.
“She enjoyed herself and was there for a late lunch,” a source on the scene said. “She couldn’t have been more gracious to everyone and to the fans and was more than happy to take pictures with whoever.”
Promptly, Selenators took to Twitter to express their excitement of her return with the quickly trending hashtag, #SelenaIsBackParty.

As many may know, Gomez announced her break from the spotlight in August during her “Revival” world tour. She wanted to take the time to focus on the side effects of her Lupus diagnosis, which include depression and anxiety.”
Around a year ago I revealed that I have lupus, an illness that can affect people in different ways,” Gomez explained. “I’ve discovered that anxiety, panic attacks and depression can be side effects of lupus, which can present their own challenges.”
Since she wants to focus and “be proactive” about her health, Gomez felt time off would help with that. But, in the meantime, she can’t thank her fans enough for their support.
“Thank you to all my fans for your support. You know how special you are to me,” she said. “I know I am not alone by sharing this, I hope others will be encouraged to address their own issues.”
During her break away from the spotlight, the singer/actress has been fully committed to doing just that. Gomez hasn’t made a red carpet appearance in months. Also, she has yet to continue her reign as queen of Instagram after going seven weeks without a single post.
With this unexpected appearance, many fans and general observers of Gomez’s Lupus battle are curious to know when she will fully return to the spotlight. Knowing Gomez, the former Disney starlet will make a proper comeback in a big way, and we are perfectly okay with that.
We wish her a speedy recovery!
