NY Comic-Con Highlights: ‘Power Rangers,’ ‘Walking Dead’ and More!

The 2016 New York Comic Con, sister Con to the biggie in San Diego, concluded on Sunday (Oct. 9, 2016) after four-days of awesomeness, including a Marvel’s Iron Fist/The Defenders panel, a new trailer for the upcoming season of The Walking Dead  and first trailer for the Power Rangers.

On Saturday (Oct. 8, 2016), Marvel unveiled the new trailer for its upcoming Netflix series Iron Fist and assembled all of Netflix’s Marvel Comic stars, aka The Defenders, the “street-level” superheroes. The panel included Iron Fist star Finn Jones, Mike Colter (Luke Cage), Krysten Ritter (Jessica Jones) and Charlie Cox (Daredevil). And as a surprise guest, Sigourney Weaver showed up; she’ll be playing The Defenders antagonist.

The Defenders will have their own show on Netflix, sometime in 2017, while Iron Fist streams in March. Check out the trailer below!

A reboot of the hit 1990’s TV show Power Rangers also launched a trailer of its own on Saturday to thunderous applause. The movie, out on March 24, shows how five troubled teens gain the Morphin powers so they can battle the bad guys, played by Bryan Cranston and Elizabeth Banks. Watch the viral trailer below!

Finally, a final trailer for Season 7 of The Walking Dead premiered, while the panel delved deeper into new bad guy Negan, played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan. The scary new trailer gives fans a look into how Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) is holding up after losing a dear friend. We still don’t know who. The Walking Dead premieres Oct. 23.
