Adele Feels ‘Sorry’ and ‘Embarrassed’ for Americans This Election Year
Being British, Adele is certainly glad she doesn’t have to partake in any of this US presidential election insanity. If we could all be so lucky.
The singer was performing at Washington D.C.’s Verizon Center on Monday night (Oct. 10, 2016) and asked the audience if they watched the second presidential debate over the weekend (via People).
“Did anybody watch the debate last night?” Adele asked. “Oh my fucking God… I feel sorry for you, really.”

“I’m embarrassed for you,” she added. We’re pretty sure this is a common response right now from those living outside the US.
Of course, Adele’s country has had its share of controversy, namely voting for Brexit this past June, but if she were American and had to cast her ballot, she teased to the concertgoers, “you should know who I like and who I do not fucking like.”
