Report: Billy Bush’s Firing from NBC Is Just a Matter of Time

Billy Bush Suspended from 'Today,' Nancy O'Dell to Return to 'Entertainment Tonight'
An internal memo to NBC staffers from NBC's Senior Vice President...

Since last Friday, Billy Bush’s career has been in a tailspin. On Monday (Oct. 10, 2016), it was announced that his role at the Today show had been suspended. Today, unnamed staffers at NBC are saying that his dismissal is imminent.

Two sources with CNN Money report that Bush’s firing is a matter of “when,” not “if,” after he appeared alongside Donald Trump in a 2005 video making degrading and lewd comments about the treatment of women, even bragging about sexual abuse.

One source at the Today show said, “everyone’s just shaking their head” over the video’s horrifying and revelatory content.

In fact, according to Page Six, Bush himself might have had a hand in the controversial video seeing the light of day. The now-disgraced TV host reportedly bragged about having a “tape of Trump being a real dog” while covering the Rio Olympics in August, which prompted Access Hollywood employees to track down the clip in question.

After the Trump video had surfaced, Bush was quick to apologize for his behavior, but it has done little to curb his downfall in the court of public opinion.
