Check Out a First Look at Amber Heard as Mera, Queen of Atlantis, in ‘Justice League’

Did Henry Cavill Just Give a 'Justice League' Spoiler?
Superman himself Henry Cavill gave fans a little tease about Justice League on Monday by posting an intriguing photo on Instagram

Warner Bros. released the first image of Amber Heard as Mera, Queen of Atlantis – and we have to say, we’re impressed.

Queen Mera will first appear in the upcoming Zack Snyder film Justice League and then will have a more significant role in the standalone Aquaman movie as Aquaman’s love interest.

Justice League unites superheroes Batman (Ben Affleck), Superman (Henry Cavill), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), The Flash (Ezra Miller) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher).

In a recent interview with Variety, Gadot addressed Wonder Woman’s sexuality after comics writer Greg Rucka commented that she “obviously” had relationships with other women.

“In this movie she does not experience any bisexual relationships,” she said. “But it’s not about that. She’s a woman who loves people for who they are. She can be bisexual. She loves people for their hearts.”

Justice League opens on Nov. 17, 2017, while Wonder Woman opens June 2. Aquaman is slated to be released in 2018.
