Wait, Did Sarah Jessica Parker Just Hint There Might Be a Third ‘Sex and the City’ Movie?
Sarah Jessica Parker has said in the past that although she’d love to do another one, the chance for a third Sex and the City movie is slim to none, but on Sunday (Oct. 16, 2016), she gave fans a sliver of hope.
Speaking with Jane Pauley on CBS’ Sunday Morning about the potential for a third big-screen installment to the franchise, Parker revealed, “I will say that the idea, it rests in the butler’s pantry. Not on the table, but somebody is holding it fairly nearby.” Encouraging, no?
Pauley mused, “One can’t help but picture a Golden Girls kind of version of Sex and the City,” adding, “If you’re inclined to be looking back on your lives at all, or are you still looking forward?”
Parker replied, “I would have sort of imagined that those women have only interest in looking ahead, while being informed by the past. And in a way, maybe that would be the best for all of us—living people, nonfictional as well!”

The last time we saw Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte and Samantha together onscreen was six years ago in Sex and the City 2. The 20th anniversary of SATC will be in 2018, so a third movie would be perfect. Just sayin’!
Parker is currently starring in the new HBO series Divorce.
