New ‘Rogue One’ Character Posters Tease the Coveted Death Star Plans

Dying to see Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) and her cadre of rebels take on Darth Vader (James Earl Jones) and Director Orson Krennic (Ben Mendelsohn) in order to steal the schematics to the first Death Star in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story? Perhaps these new characters posters from Entertainment Weekly will tide you over as you anxiously wait for Dec. 16, 2016 to arrive!

Besides Jones and Mendelsohn, the images feature Forest Whitaker, Diego Luna, Donnie Yen, Riz Ahmed and Jiang Wen, all dressed to the nines as their interplanetary counterparts and the intricate Death Star plans projected onto their faces. Also, K-2SO (played by Alan Tudyk), the upcoming film’s requisite lovable droid’s image made the cut, though he’s nowhere near as adorable as BB-8.

As EW points out, the Empire’s most iconic villain has been left out this time. But our guess is it’s because A) they plan to keep images of Vader few and far between, or B) They’re going to blanket media outlets with his image in the coming days. Let’s keep in mind, this is Lucasfilm and they don’t need to advertise for Rogue One to be one of the biggest films of the year.

We know what you’re thinking. Time to watch the new trailer again!
