‘American Crime Story’ Season 3 Will Take on the Versace Murder

'American Crime Story' Trailer
It's like 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians' but way more intense.

The third season of American Crime Story will focus on the 1997 murder of designer Gianni Versace.

According to Deadline, the third 10-episode installment in Ryan Murphy’s award-winning series will be titled Versace/Cunanan: American Crime Story and will be based on the book Vulgar Favors by Maureen Orth.

In case you’re unfamiliar with the infamous story, the Italian fashion designer was murdered on the steps of his Miami Beach home by serial killer Andrew Cunanan, who later took his own life before police could determine his motive. These days, Gianni’s sister Donatella still owns and operates the successful Versace brand.

But before getting excited about the third season, the hit FX show will tackle Hurricane Katrina in Season 2. No new details about the cast have been revealed, however, after winning nine awards at this year’s Emmys, it’s safe to say we’re all anxiously waiting.
