Kanye West is making sure his family is the main priority these days, especially after wife Kim Kardashian’s terrifying ordeal being robbed by gunpoint in Paris.

A West insider told People, “He’s putting the needs of his family first, which of course takes precedence over everything else in his life. He is carefully considering how to address and shore up any issues in both his family’s safety and security, and where appropriate, his businesses.”

He and Kardashian are also looking to turn this tragedy into something positive. “Kanye is both loyal and optimistic. Kim and Kanye are determined to turn any setbacks or tragedies into triumphs,” the source said. “It’s in both of their natures and embedded in their personal stories.”

The source added, “[West] thinks a lot about their public face, their fame, and what they can be to people, how they can reach out to their fans and influence people in a positive way. So, I wouldn’t be surprised if each of them … applied different strategies moving forward about how they roll out their public lives.”

Kardashian has been keeping a low profile, mainly staying inside her Los Angeles home since the Oct. 3 robbery to regroup, venturing out just once. Both Kourtney and Khloé Kardashian have said that their sister is “not doing that great,” but that they are getting through it as a family.

Kim just turned 33 on Friday (Oct. 21, 2016). For the reality star’s birthday, West shared a sweet montage comprising of home videos filmed by his wife’s late father, Robert Kardashian.

Though West is still on his Saint Pablo tour, he’s said to be rearranging the schedule so he can be home with his family as often as possible. The tour hits L.A. on Oct. 25.
