Scottie Pippen and his wife, Real Housewives of Miami star Larsa Pippen filed for divorce earlier this week. But according to a report by TMZ, the weeks leading up to the divorce were not as amicable as the couple’s original statement implied.

TMZ reports that police were called to the Pippen home on two separate occasions in the month of October. The first took place on Oct. 2, 2016 when police found Larsa sitting in her car in front of the couple’s home.

Larsa reportedly told police that she and her husband had been in a “heated verbal argument,” but that it “never got physical.” Scottie then told police that Larsa could come back inside with no issues and offered to leave, but Larsa decided to spend the night somewhere else.

The second incident took place just two days later when police reportedly responded to another “domestic disturbance.” TMZ didn’t have any more details, but it appears no one was arrested.

The couple filed for divorce on Oct. 18, 2016 and released a statement to TMZ, saying, “After careful consideration and 19 years together, Larsa and Scottie have each filed for dissolution of their marriage.”

Larsa says that she hopes she and Scottie will still be able to have a good relationship for the sake of their kids.
